Which used MacBook should you choose?
Apple silicon (M1, M2) vs Intel MacBooks
M1 and M2 MacBooks are much faster, run cooler and get far better battery life than the Intel models, and they will keep receiving macOS updates for longer. Intel MacBook Pros from 2016–2017 are a budget option for writing, browsing and study, but check that the macOS version you need is still supported.
MacBook Air M2 for students and everyday work
Silent (no fan), light and all-day battery. Our M2 units come with 16GB RAM, which keeps them quick with many browser tabs, Office and light photo editing for years.
MacBook Pro 14″ M1 Pro for creators
The Liquid Retina XDR screen, extra ports (HDMI, SD card, MagSafe) and M1 Pro chip make it a serious tool for video editing, music production and development.
